Retekess V-115 recording test 1089 talkSPORT 320kbps

Super Record mode is supposed  to be 128kbps, but according  to VLC it is actually 320kbps. This was recorded from the V-115's internal radio, there is some noise present on all radios.

Hi Peter
As you probably know 320 kbps is standard MP3 quality. If you record to a specialist audio recorder you can record at 1441 (CD quality) or better if you choose, but how much actual improvement you get would be questionable I think.

The original V-115 records at 128 kbps. The newer version is 320 kbps.

I wonder if it still has the low-pass filter that rolls off at about 13.6 kHz. Doesn't really affect AM modes but some sharp-eared people might find this bothersome on FM.

I can't hear anything above 9kHz anyway so I wouldn't notice.

I have two of these sets. The first one records at 128 kbps, the more recent one branded Kaimeda SRW-710S records at 320 kbps.

There is another big difference between them: the volume control is inoperative on the V-115 while recording whereas on the newer one the volume can be adjusted.
