Could anyone help ID this on 5970 kHz? It is not Radio 208

I know that all DXing forums are full of people asking questions about "mystery" signals that are not really a mystery. But this one really baffles me. It is quite a strong signal, received in South Africa, QTH location KG33XV. The same repetitive music, for a full hour. It is 5970 kHz, at about 20:28 UTC. I listened for a full hour, between 20:00 UTC and 21:00 UTC  in the hope of hearing a station ID, but there was nothing, only this music. It stopped at 21:00. My recording below is just one minute of what I heard. I know this frequency is meant to be Radio 208 from Denmark, and can also be Radio Itaitiaia from Brazil. But what I received was neither of those, I checked the SDRs and online feeds. If anyone knows what this is, I would be really thankful. Received on the Tecsun PL-368.

Thank you for all this information Paul! Still leaves me wondering what this could be, unknown station, broadcasting to many different geographic regions. Maybe it is a test of a new transmitter for someone?

Andre,

After reading your last message, I continued to investigate.

I looked at the HFCC B22 files updated on 2023-02-15: http://www.hfcc.org/data/

Here is the result of my investigations... These would be tests from the Nauen Center in Germany (and one from Tashkent on 21640 kHz). The declared broadcaster is the German company Media Broadcast GmbH

The frequency of 5960 kHz is emitted with an azimuth of 213 degrees which explains the good reception in South Africa ... The days of the week are the same (3 means Tuesday and 5 Thursday)

I do not know the sponsor of these test broadcasts

But the shows have ended since yesterday 25-02 or end today 26-02-2023!

Please, see attached file ... THat's all for today!

I have videoed the mysterious signal here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NanYSu9BmsQ

Usually Radio 208 is weak signal with me due to their low power TXing, but this signal on the frequency was very strong.
I immediately knew that it is not likely Radio 208.
