Sony ICF-S14 new old toy

Hi all
I just received another eBay special through the post. It's very similar to to my Roberts 925 Sports and many others. In terms of reception ability it appears to be very close, but in terms of sound quality the Roberts wins hands down. Purely for fun.

Yes, the Roberts was one of the better LW-MW-FM radios, particiularly on LW.
I had two and took one apart to use a longer ferrite rod. Even better,
but I never got round to housing it :-)

Yes, looks like the Sangean SR-35, with the addition of the LW band.

Hi Marc
As you've posed your reply as a question I can only say, possibly. I'm aware that a few Roberts certainly were made by Sangean such as my R-861 which is a re-badged 909. As to R-925 Sports I don't know. There have been several different flavours of this beastie and I believe it's still going strong.

Roberts stopped manufacturing radios decades ago. They have been selling re-badge Sangean radios since then. I have a few of them.
