  I haven't got one of those, but I have the same problem when tapping on the back of an 
Eton Satellit Grundig Edition. Sounds VERY similar. It is frustrating when everything else seems to be fine.

   I should have specified that the problem with instability in my Satellit is only when it is in SSB or SYNC mode and is unable to sync. Other than in those modes it is quite stable. I was quite certain that the sync was useless when I got it (new). I recall being quite unhappy with poor (thin, harsh, missing lower frequencies) audio, but trying it now it seems to work quite well in most cases. In sync mode, only when tuned off station so that there is a hetrodyne, or when it is just unable to attain sync, does it seem unstable. But then it is quite noticable. Even just shaking the radio can be heard as a warble in the hetrodyne.

I have the County Comm GP-7 which is their branding on the Tecsun PL-368. As long as you have the model with firmware 3684, the latest, you will have very little if any problems like the one stated above. I think Tecsun did some improvement work to the circuit boards in the radios with the 3684 firmware.

Great stuff Ron. I know somebody on YouTube was strongly suggesting to Tecsun to get it sorted, it might have been the OfficialSWLchannel, so maybe they took notice? Anyway, thanks for that.

Actually mine was an early model obtained as soon as they were available from anon-co.com and it does not exhibit this defect.
