This DX'er Is Going To Be REALLY FAMOUS!

Paul B. Walker, Jr.

I got an email from a producer at ABC TV Australia's National morning show, "News Breakfast". They want to do a live interview with me during the show on Tuesday morning (Monday afternoon-ish) in Australia. I'll let y'all know more when I do.

This is all because of my reception of ABC Hobart on 936khz from 8000 miles/13,000km away!

Lot of great exposure for the hobby! Credit to how well the radio interviews have gone, Paul.

Gary DeBock also deserves a lot of credit. His FSL antenna designs are not only highly sensitive, but he obviously built them well enough to stand up to the harshest DXing conditions.

Reminds me of those old Timex watch commercials. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

You’re both the rock stars of the DXing hobby.

And there is now truly a paul Walker variant after Gary had to make a few adjustments to my FSL.

But../ these antennas are for sure rockstars.

Good story on that link

I could not agree more on both counts. They have both helped to develop and promote our hobby in such a great way.

Good interview Paul, but your Internet connection there does truly  leave much to be desired. I am curious, what service do you use?

Paul B. Walker, Jr.

Nothing I can do about it

It’s satellite internet. The only option.
