Cross Posting / Groups Overload

Paul Blundell

Hi all.

I wanted to check what the general feeling is around "cross posting" to other groups and the sharing of our posts on other groups, websites or forums?
Of late I have noticed a few times that I have gone to reply to a post on group A but have found I did it on group B as I also found the same post on there. I am a member of a few groups, how do others manage this and the amount of emails you get from them?

Hi Paul,
I don't use to cross-post when I share info or write in different e-groups. I don't do it as I have different interests in their contents. I reckon most of the cross posting happens when users share their DX successes or certain DX activity of general interest. But talks or questions remain most of the times in the same forum, don't you think so?

Given the cross over between some groups, I wonder if a forum might be better.

This would take some negotiation and I doubt it could be made to keep everyone happy.
