Weird program

I haven't ever heard a TV news broadcast over radio, I thought I was hearing some weird signal. I guess just filler as it went into some local commercials at the top of the hour. It was channel 9 in OKC.

That is pretty popular here on the Small Market "Hometown" AMs. It is the only way to hear any kind of local news on stations with no staff.

There is no limitation to the fidelity of AM radio. From a mathematical standpoint, AM does better in frequency response than FM. - Leonard Kahn

Are you new in Central Oklahoma? *Lots* of radio stations carry
audio from one of the "big three" OKC TV stations during severe
weather.

Of course, you're not describing severe weather ... still ... :-)

OK, tried not to be insulting. :-) Pretty common for weather stuff,
even the larger metro stations, AM and FM. Less common for
non-weather events.
