Three Ultralight DXers Score Major Awards!

John H. Bryant <bjohnorcas@...>

Greg Hart of Lake City, FL, Kirk Allen of Pasadena, TX and Allen Willie of St. Johns, Newfoundland all wracked up major milestones this week.

Greg Hart's first flock of submissions to Rob Ross garnered FIVE awards: The 7-Day Ross Challenge, 100 Stations Heard, 20 US States Heard, 5 Countries Heard, and 30 Latin Stations Heard, ALL with the Barefoot Class Equipment. Bravo, Greg, that is quite a haul for a first-timer. The Ross Challenge is especially nice and we should note that Greg is only the second ultralighter to submit for 30 Latins Heard, Barefoot. The venerable Rob Ross himself was the first. Congratulations to Greg.... send us more as your station count climbs.

Kirk Allen nailed the Bahamas and became the first ultralighter on the Gulf Coast to submit for 10 Stations Heard, Unlimited Class.

Allen Willie in cold, dark St. Johns has been investing time in his Barefoot Sony M37 and sent in submissions for three very impressive awards in the Barefoot Class: 30 US States Heard, 9 Canadian Provinces(!) and 70 Radio Countries Heard(!!!). Allen is the first Ultralighter to hear nine Provinces (we had to create a new award) and... of course ... he is also the first ultralighter and one of the few

Excellent work by all three of these ultralighters....

we hope that they and YOU will keep Rob and me busy checking and making out ULR awards this next week or two!  We are are within 20 of issuing our 400th Award!!!
