i just bought one these which are a new version without the soon to be
useless TV band with the 5 memories added to the FM side.

seems to have the same poor qualities in selectivity and images, spurs.

has anyone written something up on doing the filter mod (4.5 RadioLabs
filter LTS 450GW) thats been previously added on these units?

i'd assume that opening one of these up and reassembling would not
have the same problems and difficulties as the srf59 and like units
do. is this a true thought?

also this unit i bought seems nearly deaf on the weather band. at home
here i seem to be receiving the same station in town on all seven of
the frequencies but still rather weakly recieved. and at an out of
town location could not hear any stations even though i know they are
close enough to be heard.

anyone have any thoughts on this?
