can someone explain how the performance headings apply to the rows of
this portion of the matrix? that is, the headings on the left are not
the same as the headings on the right. i was assuming that those on
the right may apply only to those radios that are digital but not sure
that they don't just apply to the latter few columns that are not from
the sony family.

Good catch, Ron! Use the headings on the left for all models - the
ones on the right were not updated in the last revision, and should be
the same as the ones on the left. I'll re-post it this weekend.
