Sorry, Richard, I have no info/opinion on whether the filter
that MIchael used has broader applications in the Sangean line.
Maybe Michael has an opinion.

I'm currently not able to offer an opinion since I have no information on the internal architecture of the PR-D5. I've tried to find a service manual / schematic diagram on the net without success.
