Hi.
I am keen to kick this off. How does this sound?
For the month of April, log as many FM stations as you can.
- All stations must be ID'ed by callsign, content or RDS data. - Each station can be logged once per location in the month. - Any ultralight radio can be used. - External aerials are permitted.

Hi Paul,
This sounds great to me!
I think I would like to use your software logging program if possible, is it free and/or how could I download it?
I think the guidelines that you have posted will work great for me, it sounds very fun!
I already have my target radio in mind for this challenge.
Thank you for posting this challenge and "getting things going" for FM!
I will plan to start on April 1st!

No problems.
As below, if you press the DX2023 button, this will open up the screens to log your catches.
Any issues or questions, let me know :)

How far away do locations needs to be?
Same suburb okay? What about beaches or parks?

Hi.
Is this something that is ran often and does the group have these on a monthly basis? I won't be able to take part as I don't have any portable radios yet. I have been using my R75 at home for SWL.
Do you mind explaining a bit about this and the group for an old timer like myself?

Really I am going base on trusting each person to decide what counts as a new location.
If you go to park a today and tomorrow go to a separate park, that's fine. If you went to a different location in the same park, it is not.
Happy for the group to offer any input on this also.

In the past we have ran some challenges and so on. We don't run them every month but when somebody wants to put one together.
Gary is the group owner and can provide some more information and history on the group.

Hi all.
I have had some reports of some issues with the program I added to manage and log for this.
I have had a project going for a while to migrate MWDXerDB from JustBasic to Python, based on this feedback, I am going to instead spend some time on moving across this to Python also. I have some code ready and working, it just needs some more testing but should be all good to go by late tomorrow, ready for the 1st April and to kick this off.

Could this be made to work on a tablet or mobile phone? I often carry mine when out walking.

It is written in Python which is quite mobile. I am not sure how some of it would work around saving data. I am happy to keep developing it on Windows until I am happy, then might look at porting it across. I did look at a web version which would work via a web browser but am not sure how easy this would be to port across.
