Quality of reception. I gave the distance (79km 49 mi) in the video description.I test all new ultralight radios on MW with talkSPORT in daylight, as my locals on 855 and 999 closed down.

Ah, thanks Peter. I'm not sure which transmitter I receive it on, I'm guessing either London or Dartford, but they've got transmitters all over the place from what I've read. I receive Kossuth in Hungary with about the same quality on my R-108.

From the Peterborough area where I live signal strength is approximately equal. Yes, I heard the news earlier about auntie, it was a depressing but inevitable of course. Do I detect a note of cynicism Michael 🤔🙂.

I found the answer in a comment on YT.
"if you're in the states the am band needs to have stepping at 10 kilohertz , if your radio is set to 9, with the unit turned off press and hold the M - and lock button at the the same time for 3 seconds, you will see a 9 on the display hit the up button till it goes to 10 and you're ready to rock and roll".
