Hi Peter
Well this is interesting, I see you're using the PL-330, did you by any chance do a side-by-side with the R-108? I had a 330 but sold it, and have to say I'm very happy with the R-108. Your second recording was most impressive I have to say, is this your best reception of this station by any chance? Drifter |

Hello Drifter
I returned the R-108 and bought the PL-330 from xhdata.com.cn (£50) Not my best reception of 1010 WINS but a fair peak. Peter |

😊😊 so kinda the other way round to me. The big question then, do you prefer the 330 and if so any particular reason please?

WINS moving to FM. Sad, but given that they are owned by the same company as 880 WCBS (one of the "big 3" NYC targets when I was a kid along with 660 WNBC and "Musicradio 77 WABC") which also has an all-news AM format ... https://www.fybush.com/nerw-20221010/ And then there's this: https://youtu.be/4DhsGf-jQ-E (Oh, yes. I've posted this before because I Just. Can't. Help. Myself.) On Tue, Oct 11, 2022 at 3:02 AM Peter 1956 <pe1etr@...> wrote:

Its a simulcast... WINS is staying on 1010 and adding the full powered 92.3 FM (not a translator) No ones quite sure whats going to happen to 880 exactly long long term, as what was two seperate newsrooms and staffs (despite being owned by the sam company) is being combined into 1 On Tue, Oct 11, 2022 at 5:33 AM Peter Laws <plaws0@...> wrote: Scott Fybush has a story on his site (dated 10/10 below) about 1010 -- Regards, Paul Walker "The Alaska Radio Nerd" PO Box 61 McGrath, Alaska 99627 USA Mobile +1 (907) 574-0258 Program Director: KSKO 89.5 FM McGrath, Alaska, USA Afternoon Host: Hits 106 KLMI-FM Laramie, Wyoming, USA Overnight Host: Local Radio Networks National Classic Country Format |
