Eton Elite Execute HD?
The HD version used to be on the Universal radio website but has been removed for awhile now. I had been watching for it and checked the ETON site a couple weeks ago and it was no longer listed there

Jay's new PL-320 Review is available!
As many here already know, Radiojayallen's site is an excellent and reliable site for portable radio reviews and he posts here as well. His latest review of the Tecsun PL-320 ULR is no exception. Like

Try shielding the radio itself with aluminum foil, and let the whip antenna stick out. Yes, a very sensitive cheap radio like the D-109 will overload in a strong signal location, but it is a great bar

Yes, the ATS-909X was an example I had in mind. The Grundig [Germany] SAT 700 is one with an RF amp stage only used on the whip. I don't have an overloading problem on the D-109 using my 31m dipole on

What antenna are you two using? The whip or something plugged in? It is not uncommon for me to have to attenuate my outdoor antennas on better portables. I like a variable control so I can get the sig

Interesting new signal: Music for Joy 11790 kHz from Nauen in Germany
I saw that mentioned on the SWL You tube channel. He gave the days and times for 1 hour broadcasts and asked for anyone with more info about that station from Germany.

How to eliminate D-109 AM reception from the ferrite and add a jack for an external ant.? Gary? Anybody?
Can the ferrite be shielded with aluminum foil after adding a small pick up winding of say 3-5 turns for the antenna jack? Can the ferrite be eliminated completely from the circuit and some how a 50-7

XHDATA D-109
I just did a quick comparison of strong signal Classical Music on the PL-330 and D-109 and the '109 is clearly the winner. It sounds like it has a 'wider' and 'fuller' frequency range. I have no idea

I had one of the even earlier models with Chinese markings. I bought it to record remote DX sessions but kept forgetting which buttons did what. It did not impress me as especially good or bad at hear
