I think that Duracell cells have a very spotty track record as of late, anyway. I definitely like rechargeable cells over any alkaline batteries. Especially for anything that does not get cells remove

Just a tip from experience. Alkaline batteries are...well alkaline. I use something acidic when I clean up the mess. Usually some kind of vinegar. But lemon juice also works. Once the bubbling is over

I agree about the Eneloops. I have (literally) 18 radios that I keep Eneloops in. 12 of those live mostly in their cases in a drawer. I take those out every 6 months or so and cycle the batteries for
