Maybe I'm weird? Or strange ways that I enjoy the DX'ing hobby!
This makes me smile! Some of the ultralights can also receive NOAA weather stations. Sometimes I enjoy DXing NOAA weather radio: https://swling.com/blog/2021/09/jock-satisfies-his-inner-radio-nerd-wit

Overloads in Tescun radios (and other DSP radios )
Gary, very useful. I don't know about others here, but I have a tendency to apply the "prune juice theory" to antennas -- ie, if a little bit is good, then a whole lot more ought to be great, right? (

Counterpoise question

Looks like you had a Wellman loop there as well. What are those things that look suspiciously like antennas in the roadway?

Direct Connection between FSL and PL 360?
Jorge, My high school Spanish is now 60 years behind me, but your test needed no words -- to go from white noise to fully copyable signal by placing the AN-200 next to the radio and adjusting the dial

Additional on CCrane Skywave SSB reception of NOAA weather radio frequencies . . . probably for radio nerds only.
With regard to the NOAA weather radio reception of the CCrane Skywave SSB, here's some info that I posted Radio Reference that might prove useful for anyone for whom NOAA weather radio is a high prior
