Best DSP`rig?
Agreed. I ordered mine from Anon-co on Sunday evening. HK Post says it's on it's way. Amazingly, the HK Post tracking number works on the USPS site. Go figure.

ANON-CO on eBay -- Tecsun PL-310 Sale
Shipping from anon-co, via eBay, went from $20 to $17 just in the time I've been interested, which is about 3 weeks now. Should be here "soon". :-) -- Peter Laws | N5UWY | plaws plaws net | Travel by

If you have good eyes and tiny tools and ain't afraid o' no SMD chips, you can get them from Mouser. The 4735 has a minimum quantity of 200, though, so to get one (1), you'd have to get the 4734. http

Mouser's site says the only difference between the 4734 and 4735 is that the latter decodes RDS/RBDS. Datasheet for the "473x" is here: http://www.silabs.com/Support%20Documents/TechnicalDocs/Si473x-B

Batteries and Corrosion
Just had this happen recently in my Zenith 2000 (1960-vintage FM-AM). FORTUNATELY, the folks in Chicago provided a plastic sleeve for the 8 D cells (yes, 8 D cells) so there was no damage to the radio

Interesting - KLIF's page doesn't mention the simulcast but KTCK's does. Maybe they just switched? Thanks for the tip!

Herewith, a question I'm embarrassed to ask ...
A loopstick, as found in, say, a Tecsun PL-606, has the nulls broadside to it, right? With the strongest signals off the end, right? Right? Or am I all orthogonal??? And yes, given that I am a radio h
