Hi Gary.

First, I would say you're right that it is 2PM from Kempsey.

The second, I could not hear any clues, the Australian station on this frequency are below:

639 2HC Coffs Harbour Commercial 5000
639 4MS Mossman National 1000
639 5CK Port Pirie National 10000
639 8RN Katherine National 2000

No photos this time as I left my phone in the car and given how sore my legs are (just started going to the gym), I was not going down to get it.
It is about 1.25km from my home so scores (as far as distance goes) is the same.

Re: ULDXIndex - A Suggestion

Paul Blundell

I spent a bit of time trying different values to get to a value for each which for me makes sense and works.
I am happy with how this works for me, if others also want to use this or any other system, that's good. I think what matters is that we each have a system that we understand and works for our needs.

Update: 06/08/2021
I have updated my code to also include the signal level in the formula for working out the ULDXIndex number and added an option to only update this when you want to, before this it would prompt you to update the values every time you edited a record.

My parents v115 can operate to around 15 hrs playing mp3 music at 48kbit rate.Just a guess.
FM reception is quite tricky and requires proper installation of external wire

It seems that none in this last used or owns a pl330 to verify the discharge time

For less money than the Tecsun PL-series radios, The R-909 and R9012 are top analogs for about US$20 each. They will go great with your AN-200 loop. Each of these two radios run on 2 AA's and the batteries will last OVER 400 HOURS.

Re: PL330 battery discharge time

Thanks for that. I must look at replacing all my AA and AAA's, and will change them all at the same time to a new brand.

Paul,

I have found the Panasonic Eneloops regular capacity, not super capacity AA's are verly lw self-discharge. They hold their charge over over a year if unused.
I just unpacked some after 14 months storage and they still show full charge. I have ben told that the extra capacity ones may not have such low self discharge rates. A friend of mine who uses only rechargeables and has treid everything recommends these strongly...I use them in my ATS-909X2 and they work very well.

Looks like you had a Wellman loop there as well. What are those things that look suspiciously like antennas in the roadway?
