Re: CLE145 Hot-Rodded Ultralight Preliminary Loggings
Gary, absolutely astounding reception report, great pictures, including that Winnipeg 248 kHz Beacon here in my location. How many Ferrite Rods does that compact 6.5 inch FSL have? And how many

Re: How To Calculate Ferrite Loopstick Inductance Values for Ultralites? Part 2
It would help. The 3-gangs have to be used in-parallel with 3 switches, so that one, two, or all three are in use. This will allow for a near-continuous range.
The radio might be adding capacitance

Re: Could the iPhone become an Ultralight ?
Thanks for that. WE've noticed around here that there is a "low freq. local osc." of about 45-48kHz. I thought that might be some form of 2nd IF-on-a-chip or mixer-osc.

Great pictures Milton. That Ferrite Rod is huge. What types of Antennas do you have?

Re: La Voz Christiana
Good catches, I'm not sure about MW but on SW La Voz Christiana is a station out
of Chile, I have a 2001 QSL from them, pretty generic ID but ya never know! The
freq was in the 17.000mhz range. Maybe

Re: which one is ultralight
Actually, it has always been my understanding that the"official" definition of what is a ULR is really only relevantto the Awards.

Jerry, more capacity would extend the frequency coverage towards
lower frequencies, but at the same time a higher C > L ratio would
adversely affect sensitivity and selectivity to some degree.

After listening to 1540 quite a bit during the last few weeks, I finally was able to dig out an ID on a previously UNID SS station. Hrd on both the T-615
