If in doubt, a "sacrificial" buffer-FET could presumably be interposed
between the Si4734 and the external loop, which would then need to be
manually tuned. But what would the varactor think

Two Stations on 1420
Found two of these in the last 2 hours. First one was a weak call of "WACK Newark". Channel rather crowded as usual... this one made it at 2345 EDT 3/28/11. FCC says 500 Watts nighttime at a distance
