SSB ultralight class
I propose an ultralight class that INCLUDES SSB. WHY? As someone who USES SSB and would like to see it on ALL radios with SW bands. SSB has uses on MW as well. A group that is LOOKING for low-end

I echo Keith's comments: for MW and SW, the Tecsuns are better, both in terms of reception quality and ergonomics.
The Tecsun PL-606 has the best FM sound (via headphones) if you are interested in

Welcome, Patrice.
I agree about the D96L--I have one and it's a good general-purpose receiver-excellent on FM-but not especially good for MW or SW due to background noise and interference.

Also the D96L is not a good buy acc to this anyway...I think you would be far better off with the excellent Tecsun 310 / 390

Just about FIP... for years in Brighton there has been an unofficial relay of FIP on 91 Mhz. I think the one who set it up unfortunately got killed in a car crash in Spain though. Ofcom appear to turn

If this needs to continue elsewhere, I would much appreciate
a link. I have limited facilities, but would like to explore
SDR if it were feasible, so appreciate any practical input.

Hi Jeff,
A number of Perseus SDR owners have used Atom-powered netbooks successfully; it's a matter of configuring settings properly. I owned the first gen MSI Wind U100 to process IQ and listen to
