I decided to check-in at dinodirect. Some of their prices are very competitive with Free Shipping. All of the Tecsuns are Free Ship. The PL-310 and PL-606 are low $50's. But, then there are "not good"

In my opinion based on playing with broken ferrite rods, there would be inconsistencies in flux using individual toroids. I could never get as good a result using broken pieces as with a whole
