I can hear Antena Satelor on LW and especially MW reliably here along with
other Romanian big guns in the evenings and at night here in the eastern
mediterranean on a PL-660 with the built-in ferrite.

I am pretty sure my original PL-310 did not have a separate headphone audio chip amp, and would drive a very efficient 8 or 12 inch Hi-Fi speaker quite well to modest volume. Radios with stereo 20-40
