Re: CCrane CC Skywave SSB 2 coming in December for US$199
Well, that looks fun!
I have plenty of actual scanners (like, 40 years worth) but for those
that don't, that 10-channel airband scanner is a neat feature for
airfans.

Re: Tecsun PL-365
I was using it to run a scan at the same time each day and log what it finds. I ran it the other night and found that it didn't log a couple of stations that it "normally" does / what I would expect.

The scanning of the airband sounds interesting to me and a feature I would find very useful.

Hi Bill,
It does not seem to matter that much. I did some testing over the last day or so, the issue seems to be with stations that are close together, say for example it finds 855kHz on the first

Re: Tecsun PL-365
Yeah, I am sure there is a signal strength threshold for detection. It is likely relatively high so they insure you get only "good" listenable results. At times of day when signals are in and out

CCrane CC Skywave SSB 2 coming in December for US$199
https://ccrane.com/cc-skywave-ssb-2-with-am-fm-sw-wx-and-aviation-bands
Does not seem to be a new design but a short list of improvements on the original:
SW antenna jack
Micro USB port for charging

I returned the Panasonic RF-P150D to Amazon. You might have noticed from my videos that long-range MW signals confused the DSP auto tune, resulting in loud clicks, Also the headphone socket is

Thanks Rodney. That is a bit disappointing but if it is the way it works, I will need to adjust my process.--

Hi,
I know my Sangean 909X2 does.
And I think my Eton Elite Satellite does as well.

Re: Tecsun PL-365
It depends on (medium to high) signal strength. That sounds like completely normal behavior to me, especially at night for MW. I never use that feature on any radio.

Hello Paul,
I used to gave a Sangean ATS-909 that had that capability, There are other Sangean models too I think.

I have recently purchased one of these and have noticed that when I use the ETM feature, the results are not consistent.
I can run ETM now and get 12 stations, I run it again 30 seconds later and

Programmable Radio
Does a radio exist (ultralight or not) that allows names to be programmed against memory channels? Much like how the RDS system works on the FM band but where you can add the name you want?
My idea is
