Sadly, Keith, the chances for Asia are practically zip. Radio Rossii had several longwave broadcast stations in the eastern part of Russia that were frequently audible on our left coast, but these

Re: 2" Bar FSL Tecsun PL-380 and CC Skywave Models
As you may remember, I am not up to modifying these tiny radios myself so I use external antennas on the PL-360 and the similar format GP5/SSB. I believe they use different DSP chips, and of course

2" Bar FSL Tecsun PL-380 and CC Skywave Models
Being fully aware that many DXers are not keen on DXing with a portable having an antenna weighing more than the radio itself, I did some experimentation on creating the lightest (and cheapest)

Re: Is LW / Long-wave area dead ?
What frequency do you hear Ireland on? I was never able to hear it on the listed frequency from North East USA, I think around 250 KHz? Maybe it is lower power than domestic BBC on 198 or directional

Let us hope you are right! Could you furnish links and sources, please !
In Western Europe, we still have BBC, Ireland and France on LW.
Given propagation properties, LW has a lot to offer,

Is LW / Long-wave area dead ?
As this spans almost all LW band capable receivers...
RE: LW stations vanishing...
There is a concerted, high-quality effort to test LW (long-wave) band area...presume to be 90 kHz through 490 kHz

New ULR Log #950
Hi, everyone,
I haven't checked in that much lately but I am still at the dials.
I just logged my 950th ULR log:
1600 WTZQ, Hendersonville NC, 2/11 1800 Local, good TOH call ID, into local ads.
