I hope this is true on a wider scale.
Are these transmitters identified / listed anywhere?
In Europe many MW transmitter masts are no more.
LW would have wider coverage, but few radios now

there are several robust digital networks however when push comes to shove they can take the analog transmitter(s) out of mothballs and transmit to a/the existing vast "network" of radios.
