Dean, The design looks relatively easy to construct, but how do you secure the ferrite rods to the pipe? Jim

Re: New style FSL Part 2
Using the smaller loop as a noise antenna completely gets rid of the house noise /hash.
This is a Huge advantage for me as I can DX in my home again :P

Oklahoma TP DX 12-8-19
Possibly the best TP DX morning here in many weeks (LSR 1329). Except for occasional fading up and down, JOUB was audible whenever checked.
567 JOIK poor at 0801 and 1043 with moderate 570 kHz

Oklahoma TP DX 12-7-19
TP DX was better here this morning than for the past few days (LSR 1328). Again, JOUB was the most consistent signal received.
567 JOIK barely audible when checked at 1002, 1313 and 1325.

One thing I love about this string is how the internet has let us pool our resources. Before the internet many (if not most) of us were all by ourselves in our hobby, but I have met many people thanks

Your helpful assistance on deciphering 540-Rhema's Kiwi English is greatly appreciated! I never could have figured any of this out by myself.

Re: Tecsun R-9700DX or Tecsun PL310ET
I have pl-390 in my collection of almost 15 good radios.
And would advise you to stay away from it.
It is a beautiful paper weight ;simply not worth your hard earned money.

Gary:
It’s definitely New Zealand. Hawks Bay & Gisborne are on the east coast of the North Island of Aotearoa.
Good listening.
