Digitech AR-1733
Hi Folks,
I picked up this radio at op shop (Thrift store) yesterday. Seems to be small enough but not sure if it qualifies otherwise.
I think this was a Dick Smith item before they went bust.

Re: Performance of New R40C1 Ferrite Material Loopstick
Thanks! Lots of info for me to study and attempt to understand.
In a file on this group it was mentioned the 2 Polydoroff windings over interrupted ferrite cylinders resulted in very strong nulls

I use the Skywave radios from CCrane and an HXDATA D-808 to scan the air band. I live across the bay from NYC and hear huge amounts of air traffic with these receivers. I got the tiny little HanRongDa

Thanks Gary. I just ordered some. Do you think the additional turns of Litz are mostly responsible for improved performance?
Could you detect any difference in Q by using that radio? [or by any other

Re: Airband Radio on Ultralight Radios
No it doesn't scan the airband. Mainly good for monitoring one freq at a time.

Re: Airband Radio on Ultralight Radios
Thanks for the reply.
A SDR is outside the scope of this group and not what I am trying to do, which is push these radios as much as I can on the Airband.
