Re: South Australian DX Loggings - November 2020
Good logging's there. The Adelaide one's seem to come in fairly well here too. I'll have to try logging 5CK & 5MV here too.
Some others you may be able to log may be 5SE on 963Khz, A commercial

Re: AM/MW daytime reception test from Echuca VIC.
That's a good catch. It is an interesting station. It usually comes in here reliably at night.
And when I was in Sydney in 2011 it boomed in at night as a local strength signal.
Dan.

Re: New Tecsun PL-398
I’ve been considering the purchase of the Tecsun PL-398mp DSP so this modification really intrigues me. Can you provide some more details? As the kids say, “Pix or it didn’t happen.” :-)

I have to laugh about the term ultralight, Paul!
While the radio itself is shirt pocket sized, the accessories we attach make this not so light at all!. Kind of like making a DX/Contest grade crystal

Thanks for the excellent reply Bruce and your thoughts on where radio is going.
It is great that you had a radio in your classroom and tried to get some students interested. Sadly I don't see this
