A new year brings a new radio challenge for me. I have decided to challenge myself to log every 50kw big gun station in Australia. I am not sure how long this will take and how successfully

Hi Gary, thanks for your extensive response, I think it's a good idea to start little by little, from less to more, so I will spend a while testing the Sangean DT-250 without antenna (many recommend

Good luck with that Paul. I don't know how well you know your neighbor but the first prerequisite will be to remain friendly and try to explain why you are doing what you're doing and of course offer

Well today I had a chance to look in to this more as I was home alone and the signal was back, very strong at times.
I turned off each circuit, walking around I was able to find the strongest signal

It is a good idea to start with Spain and Portugal, knowing that it is possible that the OM is in decline in Spain, it will be a challenge to catch them against the clock. I like British and Irish

I don't have beaches nearby, but I do have lookouts and high and clear points in the Sierra de Córdoba. Kind regards, Paul.

I think Europe will be a good start. Especially Great Britain and Ireland, (I have already managed to listen to a station from the Isle of Man) and also Spain and Portugal, Thanks Keith.

Start off by logging as many stations as you can, focus on the closest ones first and then expand on this.
Do you have any beaches or lookouts close by?

Dear Pedro,
For a relatively modest challenge, you could try to hear any nearby European or North African country. (on mediumwave, at night, of course). For a bigger challenge, you could try for one
