Re: Toshiba RP-F11
I've owned a Toshiba RP-F11 since the 1980s, and it's a very good
receiver. When manufactured it was probably the best receiver of its
type, much better than the inferior, but better selling Sony

John,
Thanks for the clarification. I had printed out the definitions page
for personal reference. I saw the reference to "selectable IF filters"
but did not see any references to dual conversion

Gary,
Thanks for the great info!
The 570/1480 image problem, to the best of my knowledge, is the only
such problem I've encountered with my radios here in Houston. Looking
at KLVL-1480's antenna

Re: Quality Control for the SRF-59
Same is true for the regular SRF39. The one I have is deaf on FM-local, hears locals ono FM-DX. AM is not as good as either the SRF-59 or the Sangean DT200-VX.
I think I'll have to package it up

I bought a second SFR-59 from K-Mart last week and it seems to be a bit of a turkey compared to my first one I got from Amazon. The FM band is dead and the sensitivity is not as good as my Amazon

MW Image Discovered on E-100
This evening while going through the MW band on my E-100,
I discovered an image of my local SS station on 1480 kHz
showing up on 570 kHz (2 x 455 kHz + 570 kHz = 1480 kHz).

Dear folks,
My Grundig G6 is identical in size to the E100. That it has ssb apparently disqualifies it as an ultralight...perhaps this can be reconsidered. In any case, it is a tad less sensitive
