FM Loggings - 22/05/2021 - Three Way Test
Over the weekend I spent some time in my backyard running a three way test of my Digitech AR-1733, TEAC PR130 and DAB-P9.
As can be seen the Digitech AR-1733 was the best performer, both the PR130 and

Re: Sangean DT-800 vs Sihuadon R-108 vs CCRadio 2E
This solution looks very interesting from the perspective of an experimenter being able to play with the parameters. Right up my alley, as I love tweaking.
But how good is the radio overall?

The best long lasting 18650 is the LG MJ1 but not easy to find at least at a good to reasonable price

Beware of battery draining while the radio is off. I have had two radios which did this and in both cases the radios were defective...replacements cured the issue. The test is to take the battery out

Re: Sangean HDR-14 UL HD AM/FM Radio - What do you think?
Jorge, no I didn't try that because it was still under warranty.
Here it's unlikely I'll get Es with RDS on a portable. The only longer telescopic rods I have won't fit anyway. I could attach a 3m

Mark,
I found a set of 4 or 5 on ebay that came with a bonus wall charger and a super-bright pocket flashlight, for around $12.00. Sorry I can't provide more details but my purchase history doesn't

Good source for 18650 batteries?
The 18650 batteries that came with my XHDATA D-808 radios (2 of them) have turned out to be lousy. Even when the radios are not in use, they discharge very rapidly. This is true even though I have

The DT-250 is not available in the United States (I've looked - I like the silver color - I'm shallow) Probably the closest equivalents are the DT-400W or the DT-200VX.

Sangean DT-800 vs Sihuadon R-108 vs CCRadio 2E
Hi all,
I have been performing some VERY informal side by side comparisons of these three radios on FM.
I must admit that the DT-800 and the R-108 are both equally excellent at FM reception and better
