Congratulations Kirk
Congratulations Kirk on logging the big #500.
For those who haven't yet reached 500 let me tell you it gets harder to hear new stations the longer you listens. This is especially true in a RFI noisy

Very nice recording,Horatio! The SRF-59 sounds like a great ULR. I have the Eton E100, but may haveto buy a SRF-59.

Today, I posted in ConDig list YG, the reflector where DXers in S. Am (and also other Spanish speaking people) gather, a rather illustrative report in Spanish about ULR (taking material from DXers.CA

Re: ULR Station #500 Logged (and 1610 Spanish)
Thanks for the feedback Mark and Horatio. Judging from the direction I was hearing the SS station on 1610, I'd have to agree it's most likely a Canadian. Maybe CHHA. I first hrd presumably this

Re: ULR Station #500 Logged (and 1610 Spanish)
There are a couple of Canadians on 1610 with ethnic block content (not sure what percent Spanish): CJRS and CJWI.
I'm leaning more towards one of those in this case. Or a pirate ? (thinking south

Re: ULR Station #500 Logged
Congrats OM!. Great achievement!
As you ask loggings for another SS in 1610, I say yes, the Argentinian 1610 Radio Guaviyú, in Gregorio de Laferrere, Buenos Aires is the one have here every night.

Started checking 1610 khz at 0510 UTC but never

Re: On Hearing All Six Continents from North America
Wasn't TWR Benin-1566 (and maybe even VOA Sao Tome-1530) bagged on one of those Haida Gwaii - Queen Charlotte Islands outings ?
For African stations heard in the past, I know Pat Martin heard Dakar,
