Re: MI LOG F I N A L L Y ! ! !
Nice catch, Byron! I've logged 27 states from here in northeastern PA but I can't snag anything in Delaware. WDOV is 131 mi from me. You give me hope! I'll have to try sitting on 1410.

Some new Cubans, and a surprise
Operation Bay of Sigs continues. There are 76 Cuban stations in the log (23% of my ULR total) or, as Glen Hauser would say, I have reached the semi-sesqui-centurian-plus-one level. Not sure the last

Silly Me
Thank you Scott for alerting me. The G8 I used to transcribe the circuit from was the one that got the giant EMP. The K16 I tested must have been damaged making it look like an NPN

hi Scott,
yes, with PNPs the SW enable activates the diode switch and applies Vcc to Q1 and Q2 emitters (via toroid).

phil :)

Wow! Nice bit of work Roy. I see you've drawn it sort of in the style that it's laid-out on the PCB. I'm a little confused by the circuit at Q1 and Q2, however. I think that those may be PNP

I took the time to draw out the G8 front end. The PL-310 and PL380 are similar but with more components in the filter. The same is true for an 02-2010 model PL-300 which has a redesigned

Re: Time Signal???
One maddening aspect of Cuban stations is that the Cuban networks (Progresso, Rebelde, etc. )will often utilize feeds from Radio Reloj on other network frequencies that differ from what Jim posted. I

Posting the frequencies of Radio Reloj confirmed what I was hearing. Many thanks to both you Jim and to Mark for quickly solving this puzzle for me.
