In answer to your question, the PL-360 does have fixed 3 kHz DSP filtering(like the PL-300WT/ G8) and "soft mute" set at the same threshold as thosemodels (and the PL-310). However, the

Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: PL - 310 via HKequipment-FARMERIK
Thanks Paul! - The other night I couldn't find AM 740, CFZM I guess from what you said. That is very unusual here after dark. The battery life on your R-911 is quite impressive.- FARMERIK

Tony, thanks for that, but the groundbreaking research was done by the chip's inventors,

Jim, I think it's time to put a miniplug socket outside the radio and build a loop connector box that has a switch that you can throw between the MW and LW coils. A little velcro can attach that to

Dull night in Florida
Knowing LW would be a bust, I put the MW coil back in the PL-380 yesterday. Disturbed conditions sure knocked down signals from the north, but there was lots of flutter, and Cuban stations were still

Re: PL - 310 via HKequipment-FARMERIK
Farmerik:
For off-tuning by 1kHz, you can bump the volume up a notch or two for audio improvement.
I generally set the AM-BW at 3kHz since most RX is talk with limited music... but if you like CFZM

One new station at dusk
Was outside at picnic table tuning around and caught an UNID and one clear call.
The UNID was on 720kHz with Island Music (carribbean). Had this about 18:45 to 18:50 and it faded down not to return

Re: PL - 310 via HKequipment-FARMERIK
I am not sure exactly what to look for. I have a G8, but no PL-380 to compare this 310 to. It does seem even more sensitive om all bands including FM, than the G8, but that is just a first impression
