Re: non-destructive coupling of hoop loop to PL-310
Tony,
In the photos section of this group, Gary has posted high-res pictures of the PL-310 loopstick. It has 80 turns and a reported inductance of 318 uH.

KNX-1070 has made it to the East Coast a few times and we might have a better chance once the Sarnia station completes its move to FM.

SOON! I got the magnet wire today, but no toroids yet. I'll follow your best designs, and think I might have talked my wife into winding.

Thanks Steve,
I'm happy that you enjoyed reading the Sony SRF-39FP loopsticktransplant article.
Loopstick experimentation is lots of fun, and it doesn't require much $$ ifyou can salvage some

Thank you for your time Gary. These past couple days I've been steadfastly searching and reading articles pro and con, but mostly pro. I read a number of your interesting modifications at DXer.CA -

Rob,
Have you targeted 1640 KDIA in Vallejo, CA?
There are only 4 other stations scattered throughout the US and KDIA is the only one putting out 10kW at night.
