Thanks- I have at least a half dozen S/N's of 25 across the dial tonight. I am comparing Gary's 7.5 inch ferrite, the 350uH Rook [I thought it was Diamond weave] and a low impedance Diamond Weave

Hey Stephen:
I think that is another symptom of the overloads that occur in your location. With all that RF energy flying around, it's not hard to imagine that the front end gets desensitized. It

Hey Farmerik - yes, that's the max on all of the Tecsun models. That, in addition to the fact that the SNR automatically goes to zero if not tuned on-frequency, are a couple oddities on them. Also,

Hi Stephen,
A couple of vibrant upper-band DU's are 1512-2RN (10 kw) and 1548-4QD(50 kw). Both are ABC (Australian government) stations, and can boom inwhen conditions are right.

Kevin,
Could you elaborate on this please? In what ways are the DSP filters
in the Tecsun receivers inferior to any analog portable radios? How
did you measure this?

Re: A new PL-310 - did not like mine.
Ooops! I meant the PL-310, not the PL-380. As we all know there is no external antenna jack on the '380.
Fingers moving quicker than brain again.

A Break in the MW DXing Drought
I've been experiencing a real DXing drought for the last month or so. Been following 4 or 5 UNID stations during that time with no results until early this morning when I was able to finally nail down

Actually, RF-Bosters are in Ultralights... just not intended for the AM-BCB. Both the Eton E100 and Tecsun PL-200 have them, and I presume the new PL-210 will also have it. These work on FM and SW
