Received the NatGeo G8
A little over 5 days after ordering it I got it via UPS today.
It's identical to the one I bought from Eton 3 months ago.
I haven't compared it performance wise as I might gift it but either way I'm

What about Hawaii? Not across the majority of the ocean but still a tough catch.

Tecsun PL390 does it say this has DSP
Nowhere in the promotional text does it mention DSP on either Anon Co or the Simpsons Shop which is disappointing. A magnifying glass look at the text above the keys does say DSP but I would have

Sorry, I don't even know what your point is. None of those "fringe" stations can be heard at all here in the daytime, certainly not with a barefoot PL-380 and not even with my 24" passive loop which

A few years ago, a brush fire on Catalina Island put the KBRT 740 transmitter out of service for awhile.

Re: Logging stations heard?
After listening to the MP3 of 680kHz, I find it similar to my daytime reception of WSM 650 when in Wildersville, TN. There is just not enough audio to make a definite decision regarding the station

Re: minimum distance over water to qualify reception as TP/TA?
PR - no. Cuba - No. TA means Trans-Atlantic, which means "across the Atlantic". Therefore, nothing in North or South America qualifies.

Good afternoon,,,
In one of my clubs, they have defined Trans Atlantic loggings by island names.
For North American listeners, you can include the Azores, Canary Islands, Iceland, Madeiras

Re: minimum distance over water to qualify reception as TP/TA?
I would think any transmitter within a country boundry would not qualify as TP or TA. Would Puerto Rico qualify as TA from the US?... Hmm what about Cuba?
All those stations listed are within US

A TA or a TP has to have the signal actually cross the majority of the ocean. Thus Iceland is a TA; Newfoundland is not. Japan is a TP, Catalina Island ( if there were any transmitters there ) would
