unID SW signals on PL-380 - how to decode? + 1580-KMIK 63/25 @ 300mi, etc...
Hi all...
What are these signals on my PL-380? Also what "officially"-recognized ultralight do I need in order to receive those signals as they were meant to be received? :)

Oklahoma TP's 11-6-10
After seeing the report of TP reception in Alabama, I fell my observations may be somewhat anticlimatic. However, TP signals here this morning were the best since late September.

Re: Sanyo Eneloop Gen II's
The official release date is November 14 for Japan (which you can getonline) or, in the US, "when current stock runs out".
But Costco already has them in some

Where did you find the gen II, 1,500 charge cycle batteries to purchase. I;ve looked all over and have come up dry. COSCO has the Gen I's but not the II's.

What I'll do, if I don't feel like taking notes, is route the audio output of the ULR through a recorder (in my case the Zoom H2), then listen to the recorder's output live, and record the DX. Also,

UL Radios With Backlit Displays
Since I do most of my ULR DX'ing at the bedside, I was wondering if anybody knew which of the ultralight radios have backlit displays that momentarily illuminate as you tune the radio, then dim

Yes, there were at least two weaker stations in the back round with different music and non-English, one of which sounded like Spanish. I was able to favor the ? CIAO program over them with the Litz

I found out that when the siganl/noise is *freezed* on the 390, just *cycle* the display button, it comes to live again. Important tip !

I only wish the PL-380 was actually this selective... ;)
Photos of a couple RSSI/SNR readings: 1240 = 60/25 and 1241 = 00/00.
Actually, though, what would cause the PL-380 to display 00/00 on every AM frequency, "Err" when I try to change the frequency (but
