Re: Ultralight Longwave DX-- Long-Range Beacon Bonanza!
Hey Kevin,
Glad that the 353-LLD (Lanai, Hawaii) audio clip was useful.
The Ultralight Longwave NDB recordings must sound pretty funny to

The Ultralight Scoreboard and Other Stuff
Hi, all.
As you know, I maintain the Ultralight Scoreboard at the link below.
But some DXers haven't send me an update in a year. Any material on
the Scoreboard more than a year old will be deleted

Re: Help: unid beacon on 213khz
Rob will be on his roof shovelling snow Kevin. From Whitby ON I hear Trenton ON YTR, which is on 215, LSB down 1.035 (WWSU logging dB) or 1.017 (Classaxe.com); take your pick. It is strong, and shows

Thanks Gary - that's a little stronger than it was at 0830 this morning, and it comes through quite well. Last night, it helped having listened to your first audio clip in order to know what to

Hey Rob Ross:
This looks to be about 100 miles from where you're at, perhaps a few feet further when you're in the basement :-) Do you hear the mis-keying?

YTR Trenton ON on 215 kHz is one possibility (assuming that an extra dit somehow
got inserted after the "T")

Help: unid beacon on 213khz
I hear this during the day so it can't be too far away (I'm in western New York).
213khz, first letter is 'Y', then I hear _.._. , then the DAID.
Assuming Canadian & the last two letters are

I also heard this: but not the 2nd station. The music was parallel on 710 kHz, and therefore Cuba. The YL speaking should be from WWFE.
Note: WWFE is quite directional Eastward having most of its

There's WWFE in Miami likely being jammed by Cuba by sticking another station on
the frequency. WWFE is directional NE / SW and SUPPOSED to run 1000 watts at
night.

Re: Ultralight Longwave DX-- Five New NDB's (and State #10)
Hey Gary:
You'll probably see this when you go to update your log - you heard 356-ON and 325-YJQ on the 25th as well :-)
351-NO is a good catch - there's a lot of competition around that

Hi Gary/all:
The RF indoor noise didn't let up until around midnight, so a decent hour was not possible here. It's getting warmer, so perhaps the picnic bench in the park will seem more attractive
