Here in northeastern Ohio I too heard 850 KOA/Denver on Saturday night.
My challenge: a local station ALSO on 850...WKNR, who's transmitter
site is 15 miles north of me, runs 4,400 watts at night,

Congratulations John. I just reached 30 states last week logging
KURL-730, Billings MT, from my QTH near Billings OK. I imagine adding
new states becomes much more difficult after 30. And I doubt

I'm at 36 states overall, so getting to 35 UL states will be tough.
Minnesota should be possible with WCCO but I have yet to hear it this season.
Arkansas should be possible if KAAY can make through

States now on ULR....and man..they are getting Harder to find!!

Colorado Makes 30 UL States
Snagged KOA-850 Denver at 0600 Eastern thius morning on the SRF-59 barefoot for my 30th Ultralight State this morning. KOA was in the clear with a very good signal, at 1,539 miles.
On to 35

Actually, most ifnot all modern, portable AM radios have the same adjustment point. I'vemade the 1400 kHz trimmer adjustment on the SRF-T615, DT-200VX, and theE100 models, for example.
