Yea, those component stereo antennas are worthless as antennas, but can be perfect to slide over a radio as an inductor to feed the result of other antennas into it. They're no better, really, than

I agree - daytime DXing can be quite interesting. For right now that's most of the DXing I like to do, too. I'm about 15 miles or so east of San Diego, CA, and some stations I've been able to hear
