Re: Stormwise ferrite rods
Wire makes a difference--I found that the 660 Litz (38 turns in the center of my 27" Stormwise 125 mu) did much better than 28 AWG multistrand hook up wire--much sharper and higher Q, and higher S/N

John Bryant - In Memoriam
I've placed one of my favorite photos of John in a posting on my blog, along with a few words. It is hard to write any more in depth than I have...the feelings of loss are still too strong.

Re: John Bryant death notice
Guy, you have a very valid point. John would see DXers getting back to the dials (or computer screen in the case of Perseus) as one of the all time best ways to keep his memory and life's work

John Bryant
This is absolutely terrible news. John has always been one of the good guys in the DX hobby that I have always looked up to and admired. Although we never met, and only exchanged a few dozen emails

Kirk -------What a beautiful tribute to our friend. I'm so sorry but I am so overcome with grief that I am unable to verbalize my feelings. Please remember the great times at Reynoldsburg.
