I spent about an hour this morning (2-3 UT) searching very carefully for WINS 1010 but with no luck. I first used my PL-368 but then spent most of the time with my much superior Panasonic RF-B11. Both

Hi all,
Looking forward to trying out the new (maybe not quite UL??) receiver that arrived in the mail today. Bought for my campervan because of the solar and hand crank charging features - however

Hi Peter
I'm intrigued about the tuning wheel? Is it a bit sketchy or what?

Hi Michael
I get RTE about fifty percent during most days but can't definitely say I've had RTL. I'll try and remember to have a go tonight and let you know. What part of the world are you?

Yep, at night RNE comes in like BBC Radio 5. With Italy now dodo,
there is little else left. But, with Irish roots, I treasure RTE on 252kHz
alongside part-time RTL on

Alaska AM DX Sept 13th
Well, asians were abound.. and loud and clear all over the band, including some on the lower part of the band and plenty of smaller guns.
But none of the Aus/NZ or transpolar stuff I'm really after,

Re: 1010 WINS 5308km PL-606 barefoot 0530 UTC 13th September 2022
@FenDrifter The PL-606 is not the best Tecsun DSP ultralight radio, as there is no direct frequency entry and the manual tuning wheel takes years to master.

Unless you live Canada or the USA then dusk is the best time fo TA reception, not sunrise ;)

Agreed, Peter, that is usually the best time for TA.

Re: Terk Loop vs other loops
Thanks Dave for your comments. Wellbrook is a very good antenna but like to dig out dx with small loops.

Re: Terk Loop vs other loops
I have both the terk and the tecsun I bought recently. I would say the tecsun has the edge over the terk very slightly maybe but both do there job very well inductively or direct
If you want the best

Well, AM DX, nice to see you!
It’s been pretty dismal till today here in Alaska.
I’ve had my first logging this season if A3Z 1017 in Tonga.
Of note, I’ve also had 2NC 1233 Newcastle, NSW at just the right time with the ABC

Re: Terk Loop vs other loops
Ola,
The Terk loop appears much wider than it is. If you removed the screws and cover, you will find that the actual loop itself is about 1/3 the width of the form. 8 turna are connected to the tuning
