Re: Analog radio with digital tuning
Hi Drifter
I have a home made loop. Wooden “x” @ 12”. Made from 1x 4 stock. 18 ga wire - 24 wraps I think. I did invest in quality air gap tuning cap. Thanks for reply!

I know it's hard for some to understand, but Canadian stations are not

Hi James,
Wow! Pretty cool catch!
Hey, do you use the internet to ID stations at all? Sometimes you can match what you hear to the live stream of the station.
I sometimes do that... might not be

AM 990 CBW?
This evening I was able to get a CBN program loud and clear. It was the Tom Power show at about 9-10 PM CDT. Most likely that was from CBW in Winnipeg, 727 miles north of me. But CBY in NL is at

Hi Bob
In answer to your first question, my selection would be the Etón E5, I’m sure more informed comments will follow, I’m new to the game. I now have a question for you, what was/is the loop

Re: Question about AM Station Power - Why so low?
The FCC hasn't the resources to care about no-harm-no-foul infractions. The only way they would get involved in a situation like this would be if they received a legitimate complaint of interference

I've also been picking up WELD off and on since last Dec., with my last reception being on Feb. 25. The distance to my location in southern Ontario is 295 miles. Usually all I'm hearing is CKGM

Good answer but one additional note is that they may not have reduced their power appropriately when you heard them. For a crowded frequency that is a long distance for 14 watts, although nothing is
