- One station might be closer than the other?
- Band conditions could be different at the two locations
- Power? One HAM might be uisng 100 watts. The other might be using 5watts or 500watts

I've seen the ferrite rods and Litz wire on eBay so its worth researching. As far as the piece from the carpenters level I'm sure one can improvise rather easily.

The total is based on adding up all of them. In this case, a few were much lower. The earlier time of night would have something to do with this.
