Re: 50kw Station Challenge - 2022
Great idea, Paul. For those of us in the U.S., it would be fun to try to log ours too. There are quite a few. I could produce a day/night list if anyone is interested. Canadians included too.

Kmart Portable Radio (JR-61H760) Review
I have just published my review of this radio, for less than the cost of a sit down lunch, you can have a capable AM/FM radio.

Rather than a dipole on the ground for AM, try a 100 metre long BOG across that field. Just lay the wire on the ground and have at it. 73 KAZ

That's a great ruse! Is there a particular receiver that lets you maintain the illusion of "scientific test equipment"?

That is a great answer. When I had a "branded" work van, that also helped to keep people away.

Occasionally I set up a long DOG (Dipole On Ground) over the local soccer field to do a bit of after-dark MWDX away from household interference sources. Maybe it is my body language but few people

My mom proposed me not to test shortwaves even in not so populous roads
As for the moment had not any problem
The most common I do is to walk across a piscine

Re: 50kw Station Challenge - 2022
Hi Paul,
I love it!
This is exactly the challenge that I needed for this year for my AM DXing...
Hope you don't mind of I "copy cat" your idea here in the US?
:)

Has anyone else bought one of these? I purchased one on December 23 but it won't be here until the second week of January. I also purchased the spare batteries and charger and the base. I'm curious

Drifter, no problem. We all started out needing basic help at some time.
The video you referenced is useful. When you talked about a long wire, I thought you were hunting medium wave stations. A
