Re: “Magic Talk” NZ Heard AGAIN in Alaska
Another great logging Paul, thanks for sharing.
I have a 5kw station about 950km from me that dominates this frequency here for me.

“Magic Talk” NZ Heard AGAIN in Alaska
This little 5kw non directional signal on 1107khz 7200 miles from my Alaska QTH is quite regular here actually and when they’re playing music, it really peaks up above the noise very nicely.

Hello from the guy in a pretty high latitude.
Yes, it does play a signifcant role, good and bad.

RadioBoard is gone for past week or so; so far as I know no one who knows anything has said anything yet. Jim Kearman KR1S is the owner of RadioBoard; hopefully something bad didn't happen

Hi Everyone,
I get a very strange result when I try to visit http://theradioboard.com/rb/.
Is anyone else having a problem getting there? Is there someone in this group who can

Re: Latitude... Easier or harder DX?
I have personally found that the RFI and band noise in urban and city areas is making the DXer work harder for any results that are able to get.

Nice loggings Paul.
I only get 3PM on 1026kHz, I often get NewTalkZB on 1035kHz, it might be worth having a listen for that one too.

Re: Latitude... Easier or harder DX?
Latitude away fom the equitoral zone is classically important, but population density is also a modern factor. Urban/suburban noise is debilitating. So North or South 40-55 degrees with low population

Latitude... Easier or harder DX?
Hi,
Often I wonder if latitude plays any significant role in MW DXing. Apart of the logical differences with day/night patterns, could the geomagnetic field affects to propagation on MW band? Does

Alaska TP DX Fri Sept 10th
Ok, so I *had* said I would wait till October, but i woke up a bit before 6am, and would've only had another hour to lay in bed.. so I got up and rushed outside and was rewarded nicely.

Yes I do keep an ear out for anything like this, which might help me to snag other stations.
