The NAB (formerly referred to as NARTB) equalization is very severe and only slightly different than the RIAA Phono eq...neither is suitable for a nominally "flat" input signal and will give a huge

Re: Looking for Paul S / Ferrite in SE CT- FARMERIK
If the output is too low for a Line level input I would try a Mic input rather than a Phono input as the phono;s RIAA equalization will give very unflat frequency response.

Miller made these pretty good in the day. More modern individual components would make it better using ceramic caps and tighter tolerances.
For a start the manual suggests using a 15pF cap on top of

Re: 2019 Shootout?
I wonder if I connected the MLA-30 across the antenna winding. It that likely to work? Another way is add a second winding on the ferrite antenna to couple, but finding the right number of turns

I don't have any info for you on this but just wanted to comment that this looks like an interesting and fairly unique device. Good luck with it!

Back to ULR's, I did buy one of those MLA-30 amplified untuned loops which ARE very compact and light weight, mainly to use with the PL-360 series of radios. When you unplug the stock antenna you can

If I remember correctly, you used to DX with simple one active device radios. I just won a Miller Hi Fi crystal AM tuner on Ebay, and wondered if the germanium crystal could be replaced with something

Australian capital city stations like 873 Sydney 2GB, and 1116 Brisbane 4BC will be around a long time. This is because they attract older (maybe very old) listeners for mainly talk-back. These
